This week.................................x

Awww can you believe it? The bumblebee' shave bought some new germs home, fresh from school. Urgh......and I have fallen foul to them......

I wish I could show you pictures of all the nice things that have happened this week.
Like Thursday evening saw us zooming off to wells, to watch big bumblebee singing with school at the Cathedral.........I have never felt so Christmassy in my whole life........goose bumps, teary eyes, shivers down the spine.......such a magical time, the most wonderful time.

So germs ahoy, Friday I sat, and slept, and sat and snoozed on the sofa, huddled in blankets and a dressing gown......

And low and behold........

Some friends have come to visit in the paddock opposite the cottage.

This cheered me up no end... I must say.......

What else could cheer me up? Well.........................................

if your asking.....

Christmas cheer, in the shape of a teeny weeny tree...oh so cute and perfect and lovely.

Decorated by the bumblebee's this morning, didn't they do a good job?
I might well move a few baubles, in a sneaky mummy manner one evening, it's lovely for them to get involved.......

I did giggle when they found their stockings, and stomped about the lounge in them..........thigh high and looking like diddy elves.

B.T.W....my parents have popped down for the weekend, my super Mother made a cardigan for herself, which she has kindly given to me.....a handknitted cardigan in a rusty red. ...I'm feeling so much like Mrs.Weasley, I can't tell you. THAT makes me ever so cheerful.........................she is a complete style icon in my eyes.

Happy weekend..........get that Christmas tree dressed...hehe x

  1. I absolutely agree...Mrs Weasely is indeed a style icon!!
Sorry to hear you have been feeling poorly but glad to know that there are things that can cheer you up! :) ...hand knitted cardies and Christmas decorations are some of the very best 'cheery uppers' I think.

    Take care

  2. Sorry to hear you've been feeling poorly but oh my goodness! It must be so lovely having the cows to watch in the paddock to your house. I'm a country bumpkin at heart but at the moment we're living in a town terrace house... I can't wait to be back in the countryside. When I was back in Dorset last week I had to pull over to let a herd of cows with their farmer walk by... I felt right back at home! Haha
But anywayy... Back to the point Ashley! I hope you feel better soon. X
Your diddy tree is looking lovely! Everything feels so much more festive when the tree's up! :-)

  3. Hope you feel a lot better soon - better to have it now than over Xmas, if you have to have it at all!
I know what you mean about feeling Christmassy listening to your children sing in a Cathedral. I went to my sons, 2 years ago - couldnt make it last year, but have tickets to go in 2 weeks again. Really looking forward to feeling all goosebumpy again!!

PS I like the hearts and home sign on your fire surround - did you stick those on??
